Island Tower, the new Disney Vacation Club expansion at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, is expected to open on Dec. 17, Disney World announced Tuesday.
The 10-story tower is located between the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at the Wedding Pavilion and overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Disney on Tuesday shared a first look at the guest rooms inside Island Tower. The rooms will feature artwork inspired by the Polynesian Islands and natural elements such as earth, water, wind and sky. Each room will also feature custom pieces inspired by Disney’s animated film “Moana.”

Island Tower will offer a variety of room types, including duo studios, one- and two-bedroom villas and the new two-bedroom penthouse villas.
The duo studios will have design elements inspired by “the stars and the sky that the wayfinders used for celestial navigation,” according to Disney.
The deluxe studios, which will sleep up to four people, will include a dishwasher—a first for a DVC deluxe studio.

In the one- and two-bedroom villas, guests will have a kitchen with full-size appliances, a dining area, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor patio. These rooms can sleep five to 9 people.
The two-bedroom penthouse villas, a new room type, will also feature a spacious living and an expansive patio balcony that offers views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom.
Disney shared a video tour of the one-bedroom guest room. Watch it below.
