Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is ready to rock with a new band.

The rethemed coaster will officially reopen as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets on May 26, Disney Word announced Thursday.

Disney also shared more details about the ride, including the full playlist of songs and which celebrities will make cameos in the attraction.

The playlist will feature five songs performed by the Muppet band Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, who will be assisted by some famous music artists.

The full list includes:

  • “Song 2” – The Electric Mayhem
  • “Born to be Wild” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Camilla the Chicken
  • “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
  • “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
  • “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson

Several celebrities will appear in the attraction. The cameos include Awkwafina, Danny Trejo, Darren Criss, John Stamos, Neil Patrick Harris, Travis Barker, Yvette Nicole Brown, Wayne Brady and “Weird Al” Yankovic.

The reopening comes after more than two months of renovations.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, the previous version of the attraction, opened in 1999. It closed in March to swap out the longtime band for Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem and a new Muppets theme.

Much of what fans love about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is staying the same. The track and the layout will remained unchanged, so anyone who’s ridden the coaster before will find that experience familiar.

But the makeover will include changes to the storyline and the attraction’s decor.

With Aerosmith out, the Muppets are moving into G-Force Records, which is under new management.

For the pre-show, visitors will be treated to a VIP tour at the recording studio. Inside they’ll find the Electric Mayhem singing “Can You Picture That?” as they rehearse for their big Hollywood concert.

Scooter, who will appear as an animatronic, has to convince the band to stop jamming and leave so they can get to their concert in time.

The band and their VIP guests will board super-powered vehicles from Muppet Labs called Lengthy Immediate Motion Object, or LIMO for short.

The Hollywood scenery and landmarks riders will pass on their way to the show will feature a “Muppet twist,” according to Disney.

The large guitar outside the coaster building is being repainted with a bold new colors, while the upside-down car at the entrance is already sporting a psychedelic look.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is the only attraction at Disney Word getting an update. Disney has been refreshing several of its popular attractions, including Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which has been closed since January 2025 for refurbishment, reopens May 3.
