Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will officially open its newest attraction, Phoenix Rising, on July 14, the theme park has announced.
The suspended coaster—located in the Pantopia section of the park—will feature twists and turns above the Serengeti Plain, reaching a top speed of 44 mph. With a minimum height requirement of 42 inches, the new ride will be another option in the family-friendly category.
Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, Phoenix Rising will feature ride vehicles that swing side-to-side. The coaster will also have on-board lighting and speakers built into the seats that play an original soundtrack.
Busch Gardens is offering pass members a chance to preview the ride on July 13, before it opens to the public the next day.
Phoenix Rising will be Busch Gardens’ 10th coaster, joining a lineup that includes Iron Gwazi, Tigris, Cheetah Hunt, and SheiKra.
