Universal Orlando is giving CityWalk an update with the closure of the Epic Universe Preview Center and the arrival of a new burger joint.

The preview center opened in June 2024 with a large model and merchandise to promote the new theme park.

The space will close April 13, more than a month before Epic Universe’s first anniversary.

It will be replaced with the Universal Legacy Store, which will return in late April, Universal said.

The retro store, which first opened in 2021, featured props and merchandise based on past Universal attractions.

The new version of the Universal Legacy Store will feature merchandise and photo opportunities inspired by “E.T.,” “Jaws,” “Back to the Future,” and Universal Monsters.

Another change is coming to CityWalk’s dining options. The Burger King Whopper Bar, located on the upper level of the entertainment complex, will close to make way for a new Five Guys location.

The BK Whopper Bar will be close April 21, while Five Guys will open this summer.

Earlier this year, Universal announced another addition to CityWalk. Luke Combs’ Category 10 will open in a new three-story waterfront venue in 2027.
