SeaWorld Orlando took advantage of the big attractions convention being in town to reveal the ride vehicle for its upcoming SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep attraction.
The theme park unveiled the vehicle last week during a press conference at IAAPA Expo at the Orange County Convention Center.
The submersible-style vehicle will simulate an underwater experience. The vehicles will be suspended from a rail above that will allow it to rotate and swing.
There will also be onboard speakers pumping audio into every vehicle.
SEAQuest will be a first-of-its-kind suspended dark ride. SeaWorld partnered for the first time with Dutch manufacturer Vekoma on the project.
“Guest will embark together on an expedition beneath the waves—discovering glowing worlds, exploring sunken shipwrecks, and encountering astonishing creatures that capture the exhilaration of the unknown,” SeaWorld said in a news release.
SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep is slated to open next year in a newly expanded part of the park.
