Disney’s popular Soarin’ attraction is getting a patriotic makeover in celebration of America’s 250th birthday next year.
Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT at Disney World will become Soarin Across America sometime in summer 2026. The change will also be made to the ride at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland.
The new film will include scenes of famous American cities and natural wonders, according to Disney. The ride will get updated scents and a new score to match.
“Walt Disney Imagineering is hard at work capturing more than a dozen breathtaking locations for the new flight,” Disney said in a post on its official parks blog.
Disney didn’t reveal which locations will be showcased. A poster for the attraction features the Statue of Liberty with the American flag.

Actor Patrick Warburton, who appears as the chief flight attendant in the reshow for the current version of Soarin, was part of a video announcing the change.
The Soarin makeover is part of a larger, company-wide celebration Disney has planned for the country’s 250th birthday.
“At its heart, America’s story is one of imagination, ambition, and possibility—the same ideals that have guided Disney since the beginning,” Disney CEO Bog Iger said. “This celebration honor both a nation and a spirit that never stop dreaming about what’ next.”
The company will launch “Disney Celebrating America” on Veterans Day, with initiatives continuing through July 4, 2026.
Disney’s Celebrate America!—A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky fireworks show will return to Magic Kingdom and Disneyland for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
That same weekend Disney will air a special 24-hour “Disney Celebrate America” broadcast across multiple platforms, including Disney+, ABC and ESPN. It will end with special fireworks from Disney World and Disneyland.
Soarin originally launched in California in 2001 before expanding to other Disney parks. The attraction takes riders on a virtual flight over iconic locations from around the world.
