Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has said goodbye to one of its longest-running attractions.

Stanley Falls, the decades-old flume ride, took its final plunge on Sunday after more than 50 years in operation.

The ride’s closure comes as Busch Gardens makes way for “an exciting new future attraction.”

Stanley Falls was one of several attractions added to park as part of a major expansion in the 1970s. In a recent social media post, the park described it as “a fan favorite for generations.”

The closing of the water ride comes a year after the park shuttered Scorpion—one of the park’s oldest roller coasters. In the announcement for the closure, Busch Gardens said “future thrills” were on the way.

Busch Gardens has not yet announced what will replace Stanley Falls or Scorpion.
