After the debut of a Walt Disney animatronic figure at Disneyland in California, Disney will add one at Disney World in Florida.

A robot version of Walt Disney will be added to the Carousel of Progress attraction at Magic Kingdom.

The figure will be part of a new scene at the beginning of the attraction, Imagineers announced at the Destination D23 event over the weekend.

“The introduction of a new audio-animatronics figures of Walt Disney in Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress marks an exciting milestone in our shared mission to celebrate the story of the man behind the magic and inspire new generations with his innovations and vision for the future,” said Kirsten Komoroske, executive director of the Walt Disney Family Museum.

Carousel of Progress debuted at the New York World’s Fair in 1964. The attraction was added to Magic Kingdom in 1975 as a tribute to the original show.

The attractions, which has a few updates over the years, will get a pretty big one to add Walt. Imagineers also teased other changes on the way for the rotating theater show.

“There are still plenty of additional details to be revealed, including what John, Sarah, and the rest fo the family are up to,” Disney said.

So far, a timeline for the addition of the Walt Disney animatronic has not been announced.
