SeaWorld Orlando has unveiled plans for its newest attraction, a “groundbreaking” suspended dark ride.

SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep is set to open at the park in 2026, the company announced Wednesday.

SeaWorld describes the ride as an “unforgettable” undersea adventure. Riders will board a submersible-style ride vehicles that take them through scenes of different ocean ecosystems filled with sea life.

The journey will be lead by the fictional SEA Collective’s Adventure Team, according to SeaWorld.

Suspended dark rides are nothing new—E.T. Adventure at Universal Studios Florida and Peter Pan’s Flight at Magic Kingdom are examples. But SeaWorld promises that SEAQuest will be a first-of-its-kind.

“From an immersive feel and advanced special effects to a spectacular finale launch that celebrates the ocean’s resilience and beauty, SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep fuses science and spectacle into an extraordinary family adventure,” SeaWorld wrote on its website.

An exact opening date for the ride has not been revealed. SeaWorld also has not yet shared where the attraction will be located in the park.

SEAQuest’s arrival comes after a spate of new attraction’s at the Orlando park. SeaWorld opened Expedition Odyssey, a flying theater attraction earlier this year. In 2024, it opened Penguin Trek, an indoor-outdoor family launch coaster.
